Sound Garden Campaign
The Sound Garden is growing into a joyful, welcoming space where children of all abilities can dig into rhythm, sound, and creativity through hands-on play. Melodies will fill the downtown Wilmington air in this outdoor, nature-inspired garden where creativity blooms and music takes root. Rooted in our mission, it invites children to explore not just music, but the science behind it. As they tap, spin, and chime, they discover how vibrations create sound, how patterns form rhythm, and how creativity blossoms through exploration. Music helps young minds build language, coordination, and emotional expression while connecting art with early STEAM learning. In this garden, every note becomes an opportunity for discovery, and every sound helps ideas grow. We are especially grateful to the Landfall Foundation for helping our garden take root by planting two beautiful musical flowers already sprouting joy and sound for children to enjoy at the museum. Now, we invite our community to help this space continue to bloom. By supporting additional outdoor instruments, you can expand opportunities for movement, sensory play, and musical exploration. Every gift, large or small, helps cultivate curiosity, nurture creativity, and turn everyday play into meaningful learning.
